My clearest memory of this gum as a kid were dares with my friends. We used to see how long we could keep one of these in our mouths (sometimes two!). So surely with a memory as vivid as that, these have to be sour, right?
I don't think my memory is that faulty, and I don't think that my tolerance for sour has gone up that much, but these gumballs were a big disappointment.
After chewing the sour off each of these, they all tasted exactly the same. I got a hunk of sweet goo that doesn't even make a proper bubble! (yes, I've decided to blame the gum). If you're a fan of sugar and sour, you might like these. Otherwise, steer away!
THE SOUR LINE
Cry Baby 'Extra Sour' (notice the quotes) neither made my eyes water nor do they deserve to slap an 'extra sour' claim on the package. I wouldn't even recommend these for nostalgia's sake. Don't be fooled, my sour-loving friends! Steer away to tarter pastures.

These are my favorites from childhood, and I haven't tried them in a while. I'm bummed to hear they MAY not be as sour as I remember!
